Overview

Great Leadership Creates Opportunity.

Opportunity changes lives.

Not simply through employment, but through the confidence it builds, the independence it creates and the possibilities it unlocks.

At Change Grow Live, we're committed to helping people realise their potential and move towards the future they want for themselves. We know that achieving this starts with exceptional colleagues, and exceptional colleagues need inspiring leaders.

We're looking for an experienced manager to join our South West London Employment Service as a Senior Employment Specialist. This is a role for someone who is passionate about developing people, building strong and inclusive teams and creating a culture where both colleagues and the people we support can flourish.

Your impact won't be measured solely by targets or performance metrics. It will be seen in the growth of your team, the opportunities created and the positive, lasting difference made to people's lives across South West London

A Role Where Your Leadership Matters

As a Senior Employment Specialist, you'll lead a team of talented Employment Specialists who support people to identify their strengths, ambitions and employment goals, helping them move towards meaningful and sustainable employment.

This is a role where your influence extends far beyond your own work. You'll create the environment that enables others to succeed, providing guidance, support and leadership that helps colleagues grow in confidence, develop their skills and deliver excellent outcomes.

Working across Merton, Kingston, Sutton, Richmond and Wandsworth, you'll collaborate with employers, partners and colleagues to ensure the service remains ambitious, responsive and focused on helping people achieve their potential.

Whilst you'll maintain a small caseload to stay connected to frontline delivery, the heart of this role is people leadership. We're looking for someone who enjoys developing others, championing high standards and bringing people together around a shared purpose.

About You

You may already be working as a Team Leader, Deputy Manager,

or in another leadership role where you've been responsible for managing and developing staff, delivering performance and leading quality services.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who believes in people.

You'll understand how to bring out the best in others, balancing support with accountability and creating a culture where colleagues feel valued, trusted and empowered to succeed. You'll be comfortable leading through change, using coaching and encouragement to help teams achieve shared goals while maintaining a strong focus on quality and outcomes.

We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience within employment services, health, wellbeing, social care, substance use services or other people-centred environments who are passionate about helping others achieve fulfilling and sustainable futures.

Responsibilities

Your Growth, Your Impact

This is more than a leadership role. It's an opportunity to shape the future of a service, develop talented colleagues and expand your own leadership journey.

Leading across multiple boroughs, you'll gain valuable experience in service development, strategic partnership working, people leadership and performance management, while influencing how employment support is delivered across South West London. It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their operational leadership experience and prepare for future opportunities within Change Grow Live.

Whether your ambitions lie in becoming a Deputy Service Manager, Project Manager, Operations Manager or progressing into wider organisational leadership, you'll have the opportunity to build new skills, strengthen your professional network and gain exposure to projects and partnerships that support long-term career development.

At Change Grow Live, we believe that when our colleagues grow, our services grow with them. That's why we're committed to creating an environment where people feel supported to learn, develop and reach their potential. You'll join a collaborative and values-led organisation where different perspectives are welcomed, achievements are celebrated and people are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work.

Most importantly, you'll be part of a team that helps people discover their strengths, realise their ambitions and create brighter futures through employment. If you're looking for a role where you can develop others, grow your own career and make a lasting difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Please ensure that when completing your application form and supporting statement, you reflect on the details outlined in the job description. This will help us understand how your skills and experiences align with the requirements of the role.

Our Approach to AI and Applications

AI can be a really helpful tool when putting together your application, and we're happy for you to use it. However, what we're most interested in is you.

We want to understand your experiences, achievements and strengths, so please make sure your application reflects your own story and clearly shows how you meet the essential criteria and the impact you've made in previous roles.

There's no need to write in a particular style. The strongest applications are those that are authentic, specific and clearly demonstrate your skills, experience and potential. We look forward to learning more about you.

Direct applications only. We will not be engaging agencies for this vacancy.

Please note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK at the time of application. For applicants with time-limited visas, unfortunately, we are unable to support new visa applications or extensions.
