We are seeking a Senior Smoke Free Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in leading a high-quality stop-smoking project, empowering individuals to take meaningful steps toward healthier lives. The position will focus on leading the development and continuous improvement of the project, including quality assurance, data recording, marketing and communications. The role will also be supporting those engaged with CGL’s substance misuse service to access appropriate smoking cessation provision, through the delivery of harm reduction, behaviour change and tobacco treatment provision.

These interventions will be delivered face-to-face within the community, and will be tailored for individuals or delivered in a group setting, depending on their needs.

Contract Type: Fixed Term unitl 23rd of October 2027

Allowances: Inner London Weighting

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

About the Role

In this role, you will lead a high-quality stop smoking service, helping individuals take steps toward healthier lives. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Promoting the benefits of a smoke-free life and raising awareness of stop smoking services through community engagement and events.
• Lead quality assurance, data reporting and continual improvement processes
• Delivery of high-quality harm reduction, behaviour change and treatment interventions
• Work within NRT and E-cigarette protocols.
• Engage with the community to raise awareness of smoking impacts and encourage referrals.

About You
We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience working in health and/or social care settings.
• Complete assessments and deliver interventions matched to identified needs
• Knowledge of the harmful effects of smoking and an understanding of smoking cessation policies and treatments.
• Provide behavioural support, using motivational interviewing techniques and the dispensing of Nicotine Replacement Products
• A commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic recording systems.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

 Role Specific Responsibilities

• To promote the benefits of stopping smoking and the stop smoking service through a variety of mechanisms and at a range of venues and
• To lead on providing brief advice and structured programmes to target groups in Tower Hamlets.
• Work as part of the NRT protocol, directly delivering stop smoking aids to service users.
• To lead on key work-streams as required to ensure that services are appropriately tailored and targeted to specific target groups.
• Engage with professionals and the wider community to increase understanding of the impacts of smoking on health and wellbeing and encourage appropriate referrals.
• Ensure all interventions are recorded accurately through record management
• Keep up to date with policy developments in relation to smoking
• To undertake any other duties as instructed by the line manager(s) that will contribute to fulfilling the project aims.
• Ensure services offered can be effectively monitored and managed by using the data recording system and through supporting the wider colleagues and professionals with the system,
