At Change Grow Live, we believe that everyone has the potential to change the direction of their lives. Every day, we provide safe, supportive environments where people are treated with dignity, respect, and understanding.
Guided by our values—Be open, be compassionate, be bold—we are committed to creating opportunities, reducing barriers, and helping people build healthier, more fulfilling futures.
We are now looking for a Recovery Motivator to join our Nottinghamshire service—an opportunity designed to support individuals with lived experience to take their first steps into employment while making a real difference in their community.
Where: Nottinghamshire
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2028
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
About the role:
With this role you’ll be working as part of our Nottinghamshire County Street Outreach Team in the role of Recovery Motivator with driving responsibilities of our health bus .
The team supports people in the community who have experience of rough sleeping/homelessness and are using drugs and/or alcohol.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.
This role includes all weather work, requires flexibility to cover early morning and evening outreach shifts, helping motivate individuals with their treatment goals and being assertive in engaging people who services may have not been able to in the past.
You’ll have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives and working in partnership with other providers.
In addition to the core responsibilities of a Recovery Motivator, the post holder will undertake driving duties to support service delivery of the Rough Sleeping Drug and Alcohol Treatment pathway. The role combines motivational support with practical transport assistance to enhance positive outcomes for individuals experiencing multiple disadvantage, homelessness, mental health challenges, substance misuse issues, and social exclusion.
