We're looking for passionate and motivated Bank Recovery Coordinators to join our teams at HMP Portland and HMP The Verne.

Location: HMP Portland and HMP The Verne
Hours: Flexible sessional/bank shifts available
Contract: Sessional Worker

What You'll Do

You'll play a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey by:

• Building positive, trusting relationships with service users
• Completing assessments, recovery plans, and referrals
• Delivering engaging group sessions and workshops
• Supporting people to reduce drug and alcohol-related harm
• Promoting recovery, independence, and successful reintegration
• Working collaboratively with healthcare teams and partner agencies
• Encouraging and empowering individuals to achieve positive, lasting change

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from people who:

• Are passionate about supporting recovery and improving lives
• Have experience in substance misuse, criminal justice, mental health, social care, healthcare, or a related field
• Can confidently engage individuals and facilitate group sessions
• Are adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working in a prison environment
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills
• Enjoy working as part of a collaborative, person-centred team
