Are you experienced, skilled, and passionate about making a meaningful difference? We're seeking a dedicated Aftercare Recovery Worker to join our Bi Borough Team. 
Where: The Bi Borough Alcohol Service across sites located  in Kensington and chelsea and Westminster
Hours: Full-time (37.5 per week)
Contract Type: Fixed Term up to end of June 2028

Responsibilities

About the Role:
  • Support the service user to connect with activities, support to sustain recovery and reach their goals set out in their aftercare plan e.g. training, employment support.
  • Provide service users with information on options available them within the service and in their communities.
  • Build positive relationships with aftercare providers to ensure recovery support
    is available to support post-Rehab early abstinence i.e., Build on Belief (BOB),
    , Fellowship Groups, Aspire2be, SMART
  • Work collaboratively with the Service User Inclusion Worker to understand post
    treatment needs, ensuring the voices and preferences of service users are
    heard and reflected.
 What we are looking for:
  • Excellent knowledge of inpatient detox and residential services
  • Experience of working within multidisciplinary teams and with fostering positive relationships with partner agencies and external providers
  • Experience of working with people at all stages of their treatment journey and an in-depth knowledge of the importance that groupwork and aftercare support offers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to provide effective advocacy when needed
