Overview

Communications Lead

Pan London | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract | 37.5 Hours per Week

Shape the story. Strengthen the impact.

Across London, our services support thousands of people to make positive changes in their lives.

But impact only matters if people can see it, understand it and believe in it.

That is where you come in.

We are looking for a Communications Lead to shape how our London services connect with people, partners, commissioners and communities. This is the first role of its kind across our London services, giving you the opportunity to build a bold, proactive communications approach across 12 services.

You will not simply respond to communication requests.

You will set the direction.

You will identify opportunities, shape narratives, strengthen reputation and help ensure our services are visible, trusted and understood.

A role with influence

Working closely with Directors, senior leaders, operational teams and our Central Communications Team, you will develop and deliver a pan-London communications strategy that brings together local priorities and a clear, consistent London-wide voice.

You will help services communicate with confidence, anticipate what is needed and make sure important messages reach the right people at the right time.

From service launches and stakeholder events to case studies, campaigns and strategic updates, you will turn complex information into clear, engaging content that builds trust and demonstrates impact.

You will also spend time across our London services, finding the stories, ideas and achievements that deserve to be shared.

What you will be doing

You will:

  • Create and lead a pan-London communications strategy.

  • Act as the central communications partner across 12 services.

  • Advise senior leaders on communication opportunities, risks and priorities.

  • Build strong relationships with commissioners, partners and operational teams.

  • Identify and develop stories that demonstrate the impact of our services.

  • Lead communications for events, launches and major service updates.

  • Create clear, accessible content for a wide range of audiences.

  • Work with our media agency and Central Communications Team to raise the profile of services.

  • Ensure communications are consistent with our brand, values and tone of voice.

  • Use insight and data to strengthen future communications activity.

Why this role matters

This is an opportunity to create something new.

You will help build a stronger, more connected voice for our London services, improve engagement with the people and organisations we work with and ensure the impact of our teams is recognised across the capital.

Your work will influence reputation, strengthen relationships and support services to reach more people.

Location

This is a Pan London role. Your base will be one of our London services, with regular travel across: Barking and Dagenham, Southwark, Camden, Tower Hamlets, Ealing, Waltham Forest, Barnet, Newham, Bromley, Southall, Lewisham and Havering.

The ability to travel regularly across London is essential.

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week*

Please note:* Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

  • A strong track record of developing and delivering communications strategies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • The ability to adapt your style for different audiences.

  • Confidence working with senior leaders and influencing decision-making.

  • Strong planning skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Sound judgement and the ability to work at pace.

  • A collaborative approach and the confidence to work independently.

Experience within health, social care, the charity sector or public services would be valuable, as would experience using digital platforms, emerging communication tools or AI.
