  • Booking nurse-led alcohol assessments where clinical input is required and working closely with clinical colleagues.
  • Liaising with referring agencies and partners to provide updates on engagement and outcomes.
  • Delivering robust harm-reduction advice and brief interventions at triage stage.
  • Managing referral systems and documentation, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
  • Identifying, responding to and escalating safeguarding concerns in line with policy and best practice.
  • Contributing to service performance and access targets, supporting equitable access for priority and treatment-naive populations.

About you:

  • Knowledge of the issues facing substance misuse including social care, welfare benefits, health, and emergency accommodation
  • Experience of community based support/outreach practices
  • Knowledge of safeguarding risks and escalation process
  • Communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Respond flexibly to the demands of the post
  • Work as a member of a team
  • Show a capacity to work alone and the ability to keep calm under pressure
  • Understand and have a commitment to the principles of equal opportunity and diversity
  • Employ a professional, empathetic, and non-judgmental attitude towards service users
  • Show commitment to facilitating positive outcomes for service users

What we will give to you:

  • 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays) rising by 1 day for each years’ service capped at 30 days
  • Paid ‘Wellness’ hour each week along with a ‘Wellness’ hub and Employee Assist Programme
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • A great selection of benefits incl. discounts for shopping, cinema, holidays, etc.
  • A friendly and supportive team
