About You

You'll be passionate about delivering high-quality clinical care and committed to improving outcomes for people with complex health and social needs.

You'll bring:

  • Current NMC or GPhC registration.

  • Independent Non-Medical Prescriber qualification.

  • Recent experience working within substance misuse services.

  • Excellent clinical assessment and prescribing skills.

  • A strong understanding of harm reduction and recovery-focused practice.

  • The ability to build trusting relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.

  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills.

  • A commitment to safeguarding, clinical governance and continuous professional development.

  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly across multiple service hubs to meet the operational requirements of the role.

Our services are delivered where they're needed most. While your contractual base will be agreed on appointment, you'll work flexibly across our West Sussex hubs in Worthing, Chichester, Littlehampton, Bognor Regis and Crawley, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding care and support. Regular travel between locations is an essential part of the role.

 

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 Hours per Week

Base: West Sussex

 

Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

The Opportunity

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll assess, diagnose and manage the clinical care of people accessing our services, delivering safe, effective prescribing and evidence-based interventions that support every stage of recovery.

You'll work closely with Recovery Coordinators, Doctors, Nurses and partner agencies to develop personalised treatment plans, review prescribing, support community detoxification and provide expert clinical guidance that enables people to achieve lasting recovery.

Alongside direct clinical care, you'll help shape and develop prescribing services, act as a trusted source of advice for colleagues and contribute to continuous quality improvement across the service.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Delivering comprehensive clinical assessments and prescribing evidence-based treatments.

  • Initiating and reviewing opioid substitution therapy, alcohol treatment and other appropriate medications.

  • Managing complex clinical presentations and developing individualised treatment plans.

  • Supporting people through community and inpatient detoxification pathways where appropriate.

  • Promoting harm reduction, health promotion and blood-borne virus prevention.

  • Working in partnership with Recovery Coordinators and wider healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.

  • Providing expert prescribing advice to colleagues and partner organisations.

  • Supporting clinical governance, service improvement and high standards of safe prescribing.

  • Helping develop the prescribing clinic and contributing to the continued growth of clinical services.
