We are currently looking for an individual to join our family team at our Knowsley service. You will ensure a high quality and consistent service to families with either drug and/or alcohol related issues working closely with parents and children's social care.

 

Where: Knowsley

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Contract Type: Permanent

  

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. 

Responsibilities

About the role: 

 

  • To deliver support to families promoting access for service users
  • Providing advocacy for access to partnership services 
  • Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination 
  • To adhere to CGL policies and processes in delivery of services – particularly lone working and health and safety related to working with complex service users.
  • To undertake focused work with families of interest. 
  • To provide rapid and flexible interventions where required to meet the needs of the service users.
  • Working closely with partners including Knowsley Social Care.
  • As part of this role, you will be required to attend multi agency meetings and provide reports as required.

About you: 

 

  • A commitment to multi-agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions to achieve good outcomes for the service user group, e.g. mental health services, criminal justice agencies, community groups, etc.
  • Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field 
  • Experience of safeguarding and working in the substance misuse field.
  • Knowledge of the issue facing families where substance misuse is present.
  • Good knowledge of local community-based support practices.
  • Good literacy and communication skills.
