Overview

At Change Grow Live, we believe that with the right support, people can change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals and live life to their full potential.

Every day our teams work alongside people experiencing challenges with drugs and alcohol, offering compassionate, evidence-based support that is rooted in respect, dignity and hope.

Guided by our values — Be open, be compassionate and be bold — we create safe, supportive environments where people feel empowered to make positive changes.

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Duty Worker to join our team and be at the frontline of our service. A Duty Worker is responsible for acting as the first point of contact within a service, managing incoming referrals, enquiries, and presentations, and ensuring individuals receive timely and appropriate support.

The role typically involves carrying out triage, initial and comprehensive assessments, and risk screenings, while providing immediate advice, harm reduction, and crisis intervention where needed. Duty Workers play a key role in safeguarding, identifying and responding to risk, and liaising with partner agencies to coordinate care.

They also support the wider team by stepping in to manage caseloads when required, helping to maintain continuity of care, and may facilitate psychosocial groups or brief interventions to promote engagement and recovery. Overall, they ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service by prioritising demand, responding to urgent needs, and maintaining accurate records.
