An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Non-Medical Prescriber to join Change Grow Live Blackpool Service. You will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team delivering recovery orientated alcohol and drug intervention services.

 

Our NMP's are integral members of our multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams, delivering recovery orientated alcohol and drug intervention services. Offering care for presenting clients, prescribing and/or making amendments to prescriptions of opiate and/or alcohol substitute treatments and other related medications, they take a lead role in developing the prescribing clinic, acting as a point of contact for other workers and partner agencies around prescribing issues.  

 

Location: Blackpool

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 per week

Contract: Permanent

 

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 per week. For part-time roles, salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assess, diagnose, plan; implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for
    those accessing clinical treatment.
  • Clinically assess service user needs and plan clinical care accordingly.
  • Identify and assess suitability of service users for in-patient alcohol and opioid detoxification as appropriate.
  • Pro-actively review and manage clinical treatment plans of the service user
  • Initiating and adjusting prescriptions for opiate and/or alcohol substitute treatments and other related medications.
  • Taking the lead in developing the prescribing clinic, serving as a point of contact for colleagues and partner agencies on prescribing matters.

About you:

  • Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber 
  • Experience of working within substance misuse treatment
  • Sound and demonstrable knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions 
  • Ability to assess and recovery plan service users and formulate written reports, as necessary. 
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing
