CGL Barnet has a well-established Community and Outreach team, and we pride ourselves on working together positively to support some of the most vulnerable service users in the borough.

 

Location: Barnet and surrounding areas

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week (this post will include weekend and evening work)

Contract Type: Permanent

 

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

 

Responsibilities

About the role: 

  • Operational line management of Community and Outreach Team members
  • Working in close partnership with local services to reduce the number of rough sleepers
  • Working closely with Royal Free/Barnet Hospital to develop and review clear pathways between hospital and community
  • Representing CGL Barnet within local strategic and operational meetings, with a specific focus on reducing harm to individuals with a history of rough sleeping
  • Working creatively and collaboratively with London Borough of Barnet Public Health Commissioning Team, to ensure delivery of service in line with Rough Sleepers Drug and Alcohol Treatment Grant
  • Ensure the service is responsive and is needs-led to maximise the chances of achieving positive change and sustainable outcomes for clients and the wider community
  • Ensure that the Community and Outreach Team runs within allocated budgets and to ensure that all administrative and data requirements are met
  • Promote and publicise the service to develop referral and access opportunities so that all service users who need it are aware of the provision offered

 

About you: 

 

  • Knowledge and awareness of the issues experienced by rough sleepers
  • Ability to build collaborate working relationships with key partner agencies, including the development and review of clear pathways for service users
  • Ability to work some anti-social hours, including evenings and early mornings, in line with the needs of the service.
