Overview

Head of Brand and Creative.

Change Grow Live are a charity dedicated to the belief that we can make a difference to our Service Users lives, offering support and respect in a safe environment, treating each user as an individual and working with them to find the right treatment and care options.

Our core values are ‘Be open, be compassionate and be bold’ and our team members apply these daily to achieve our mission of helping people change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential.

Change Grow Live is a trusted organisation, recognised by policymakers, commissioners, and the communities it serves, with ambitious plans to expand its impact by reaching more people earlier and tackling the stigma that prevents many from seeking support. We are seeking a Head of Brand and Creative to lead and elevate our profile, bringing fresh energy and ideas to issues affecting millions across the UK. This is a unique opportunity to use creative vision and leadership to communicate powerful, life-changing work at every level, as part of a dedicated and highly skilled team committed to making a meaningful difference.

Where: Remote / Closest regional business hub with a contractual requirement for occasional travel.

Hours: Fulltime, 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Responsibilities

Key activities:

Set the organisation's creative direction — Develop and deliver an ambitious programme of creative output that meaningfully increases awareness of and engagement with drug and alcohol dependency and the other issues Change Grow Live champions, giving voice to experiences that are too often invisible, misrepresented, or ignored.

Lead content creation across all formats — Drive high-quality production across video, film, animation, web, digital, and print. Champion format innovation and build narratives that make Change Grow Live’s work visible and its impact felt.

Manage the brand — Act as both the driver and guardian of brand integrity across Change Grow Live’s full portfolio. Maintain consistency across all touchpoints, protecting and developing the organisation's reputation through creative excellence.

Lead and develop the creative team — Build and lead a high-performing, ambitious, creative team. Setting clear standards, manage performance, and create the conditions for creative people to do their best work.

Drive integrated creative delivery — Work alongside the Head of Communications to deliver joined-up campaigns and ensure creative output serves the full breadth of Change Grow Live’s strategic priorities. Build strong relationships across the organisation and manage external partners where needed.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven track record leading a creative and content production team at a senior level, with accountability for both strategic direction and operational delivery.
  • Significant experience creating and commissioning content across multiple formats, including video, film, animation, digital platforms, and print.
  • Experience managing, developing, and performance-managing creative teams and presenting to senior stakeholders/decision makers.
  • Demonstrable ability to balance high-volume operational delivery with longer-term strategic creative projects.
  • Experience of creating, developing and managing brand identities across a complex, multi-strand portfolio.
  • Experience producing content involving sensitive subjects, stigmatised communities, or vulnerable people - with the judgment and care that requires.
  • Experience working in charity, health, social care, or public sector contexts (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience managing external agencies or suppliers, ensuring quality and value.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Strategic creative direction and integrated content planning, with the ability to set and hold a long-term creative vision across a complex organisation.

  • Brand management and visual identity leadership, including design systems and governance across a multi-brand portfolio.
  • Ability to translate complex, sensitive, or stigmatised subject matter into storytelling that is compelling, accessible, and built on genuine audience understanding.
