Change Grow Live is looking for a motivated and compassionate Stop Smoking Advisor to join our SmokeFree Hull team. This is an exciting opportunity to help people quit smoking, achieve their goals, and live healthier, happier lives.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week 

Full Time Salary: £26,091.00 - £26,502.53*

  

*Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. 

Responsibilities

About the role:

 

  • Provide a high‑quality Stop Smoking Service to individuals aged 12+ living in Hull.
  • Deliver evidence‑based interventions face to face in community settings and/or remotely, working with individuals and groups.
  • Support people to quit smoking and improve their health, wellbeing, and quality of life.
  • Work flexibly across operational sites and within agreed working hours to ensure appropriate service coverage.
  • Take responsibility for ongoing personal development, including attending one to ones, supervision, and appraisals.

 

About you:

 

  • Experience of working within a Health and/or social care environment.
  • Understanding and knowledgeable of the harmful effects associated with smoking.
  • An understanding and awareness of current national policies on smoking and the strategies that influence the priorities of stop smoking services.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the treatments and interventions available to smokers.
  • Experience of carrying out assessments and delivering interventions matched to identified needs.
  • A clear understanding of the need for, and ability to deliver, quality services.
  • Experience of assessing and managing risk.
