Change Grow Live is looking for a motivated and compassionate Stop Smoking Advisor to join our Smoke Free team in Norfolk. This is an exciting opportunity to help people quit smoking, achieve their goals, and live healthier, happier lives.

Where: Norwich and Creat Yarmouth

Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week

Responsibilities

This vacancy is to be carried out between Norfolk and Great Yarmouth

 

What you’ll do

  • Provide brief advice and structured stop‑smoking programmes to individuals.
  • Support the service to promote the benefits of quitting smoking at events, venues and through local networks.
  • Build strong relationships with other professionals.
  • Tailor support to meet the needs of priority groups and ensure interventions reach those who need them most.
  • Keep accurate, up‑to‑date records using electronic systems.
  • Stay informed about national smoking cessation policy and best practice.
  • Play an active role in helping the service meet its targets and continuously improve.

 

About you

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience in a health or social care environment.
  • Knowledge of the harms of smoking and current national strategies relating to smoking cessation.
  • Understanding of available stop‑smoking treatments and interventions.
  • Experience delivering assessments and needs‑based interventions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Confidence maintaining accurate records and using Microsoft Office.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • The ability to engage positively with professionals and community stakeholders.
