With this role you’ll be working as part of small cohesive team, based across two supported accomadation sites in East Kent. 

The team supports people to maintain abstience and stability and progress through a structred programme on to gaining voluntary/paid employment and independant living. 

 

Location: Folkestone, Kent 

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week 

Full time Salary Range: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35*

 

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. 

 

Responsibilities

About the Role:

 

  • Manage a small caseload of residents throughout their recovery houses journey and support their transition from Shepherd House to The Cedars and on to independent living.
  • Carry out duties within a small staff team regularly working across both projects including Saturday mornings and some Public Holidays and out of hours telephone support on a rota basis. (there may be occasions where on site evening work could be required)
  • Actively encourage all residents to participate in activities and engage with partner agencies to build their recovery capital  
  • Ensure all residents are very clear of the expectations of abstinence for living at the project, carry out regular random drug and alcohol screening tests.
  • Actively support a ‘recovery community’ culture across the two projects 
  • Carry out assessments, to include Personal, psychologically informed, risk and safeguarding.
  • Facilitate structured and activity focused Groups.
  • Work in collaboration with partner agencies to maximise opportunities and support options for our residents.

 

 

About You:

 

  • Knowledge of the important role Recovery Capital plays 
  • Strong advocacy skills with the experience to gain support for disadvantaged groups   
  • Experience in facilitation of group work.
  • The ability to be flexible and regularly work evenings/weekends and some Public Holidays
  • The ability to motivate and inspire change
  • Awareness of Trauma Informed Care and Motivational Interviewing Techniques
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a small established team
  • The Ability to challenge certain behaviors and de escalate risks using a calm respectful manner.
  • Full Uk Driving License and access to a vehicle
