Location: Newcastle

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

Full Time Salary Range: £25,077.00 - £26,502.53*

Contract: 12 month Fixed term contract.

 

*Please note: full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

 

We’re excited to be expanding our Stop Smoking Service in Newcastle, and we’re looking for full‑time Stop Smoking Advisors to join us on this journey.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well‑established, forward‑thinking service and play a key role in transforming lives across the city. As a Stop Smoking Advisor, you will support people in our communities to make meaningful, sustainable changes that empower them to live healthier, smoke‑free lives.

 

You’ll deliver interventions both in person and within group settings, building trusted relationships and providing evidence‑based support tailored to individual needs. In every interaction, you’ll bring compassion, motivation, and a genuine belief in people’s ability to change.

About You:

 

  • Experience of delivering health and/or social care interventions within a community setting
  • Experience of carrying out assessments and delivering interventions matched to identified needs  
  • Experience of assessing and managing risk
  • Experience of training, mentoring or supporting other professionals
  • Experience of working within Smoking Services
  • Experience of delivering group interventions
  • An understanding of human behaviour in relation to smoking.  

  • An in-depth understanding and knowledge of the harmful effects associated with smoking.

  • An understanding/awareness of current national policies on smoking and the strategies that influence the priorities of treatment services.

  • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the treatments and interventions available to smokers.

  • 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays. Additionally, you'll receive one extra day of annual leave for each year of service during your first five years, therefore you will enjoy 30 days of leave after five years with us.
