We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Mentor Coordinator to join the HMP/YOI Isis Substance Misuse Service who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Full Time Salary: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 per annum, pro rata
Allowances: £2195.72 Outer London Weighting (based on full time hours, paid pro rata if part-time)
Contract Type: Permanent
*Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

HMP/YOI Psychosocial Substance Misuse Service is a specialist service that is committed to supporting service users to tackle their drug and alcohol use, reduce reoffending and lead happier, healthier lives. Whether their aim is to stop using substances completely, to cut down, or for harm reduction information, we are here to support that journey. HMP/YOI Isis is a Cat C men’s prison and young offender institution (YOI) in Thamesmead, South East London, with prisoners aged between 18 – 27.
About the role:
The focus of the role is delivering and developing the Peer Mentor scheme for the prisoners engaging with the Psychosocial Substance Misuse Service within HMP/YOI Isis. This will primarily be through delivering accredited Peer Mentor training and supervising our team of Peers, ensuring they are supported throughout their time with CGL and providing our clients with quality guidance and information. This role is based full time in HMP/YOI Isis.
About you:
The Peer Mentor Coordinator will be an integral member of the Substance Misuse service provision and responsible for delivering a range of comprehensive services within the establishment.
You will be responsible for maintaining the Peer Mentor and Volunteer provisions within the service; including but not limited to recruitment, training, supervision, and on-going development.
You will be proactive and innovative in your approach to leading our peers and training them to a sufficient standard.
