We are recruiting a Substance Misuse Nurse to join our Hertfordshire nursing team in Watford

 

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions to individuals affected by drugs and alcohol, supporting them both during hospital attendance and in their ongoing recovery within community services.

 

Where: Watford

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent 

 

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. 

Responsibilities

This rotational role offers the opportunity to build and apply advanced clinical skills providing continuity of care and improving outcomes for people who use our services.

You will be responsible for assessing, supporting, and planning care for individuals attending hospital who experience substance-related harm, as well as delivering specialist community-based interventions including opiate and alcohol treatment, harm reduction, and holistic health assessments.

 

This post is ideal for a nurse who is:

Responsibilities

You will work in a hub settings, delivering high-quality, specialist nursing interventions including:

Hub Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive physical and mental health assessments
• Deliver opiate and alcohol interventions in line with national and local clinical guidance
• Lead and support harm-reduction interventions
• Manage a small specialist caseload of complex individuals
• Support engagement, recovery planning, and continuity of care following hospital attendance
• Generate clinical reports and maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel
