Vaping Facilitator – Children & Young People (12–17 years)

Believe in People? So Do We.

At Change Grow Live, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a healthier, more fulfilling life. Guided by our values — Be open, be compassionate and be bold — we work alongside individuals and communities to create lasting, positive change.

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a CYP Outreach Vaping Facilitator to join our Children and Young People's team at The Place, Nottingham City, supporting children and young people to make informed, healthy choices.

About the role

Under the direction of the Service Management Team, you will take a lead role in developing and delivering high-quality, evidence-informed interventions for children and young people aged 12–17. Your work will focus on increasing awareness of the harms associated with vaping, smoking, and nicotine-based products, empowering young people to make safe, informed choices and supporting the prevention of uptake.

This is a varied and rewarding role that sits at the heart of our preventative and early intervention work across Nottingham. You will work closely with schools, education professionals, and partners to design engaging, age-appropriate interventions that place young people at the centre.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the design and delivery of universal and targeted vaping, smoking, and nicotine awareness sessions within school settings.

  • Develop and facilitate structured group work programmes, tailored to different audiences and co-produced with young people wherever possible.

  • Deliver vaping and nicotine awareness training to school professionals, strengthening workforce confidence, knowledge, and harm reduction approaches.

  • Explore drivers for use, risk factors, and protective factors, supporting children and young people to build resilience and make informed choices.

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with schools, families, and partner agencies.

  • Ensure safeguarding, data protection, and organisational policies are embedded across all activity.

Location: The Place, 2 Russell Place, Nottingham, NG1 5HJ
*Salary: £27,861.26 – £32,002.35
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Fixed-term for 2 years, starting 1 March 2026

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
