Overview

Our Team Leaders here at Change Grow Live play an integral role in ensuring an effective service provision for our service users by creating a focussed culture, engaging staff to provide an innovative and continually improving service and provide leadership, support, and development to a wide range of staff.   

 

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Young Persons Team Leader to join our Walsall service. You will lead the delivery of services that empower Children, Young People, and their Families across Walsall to overcome issues around substance misuse. You will guide, support and manage the front-line provision of substance misuse services in the county – ensuring effective and engaging delivery to young people, professionals and family members as its required.

 

You will support the team in the continual development and improvement of service delivery.  You will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with partners both internally within the service and externally within a wider partnership. You will be expected to take responsibility for personal development and participate in regular supervision and appraisal.

 

Where: Walsall

Hours: Part time 30 hours per week

Salary: £35,220.59 - £37,184.91(based on full time hours, pro rata for part time)

Responsibilities

About the role: 

 

  • To provide regular supervision and line management to identified team members and contribute to the delivery of a quality service
  • To support and guide the team to assess children, young people, and their families, prepare individual and group plans and motivate them to actively engage with support
  • Take a lead in all Safeguarding issues and processes in the service, taking on the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
  • To develop internal strategies and processes the team will use to meet the support needs of those using the service
  • To identify and collaborate effectively with partner agencies and bring a proactive approach to partnership working to work towards positive outcomes for the service
  • To take a lead on performance management
  • To manage projects from beginning to completion demonstrating effective decision-making skills, delegation, risk management and evaluation

About you:

 

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of working with children and young people experiencing difficulties around Substance misuse and other wider issues
  • Line management experience including the delivery of reflective supervision
  • Excellent knowledge of safeguarding policies and practices relating to children and young people and experience of embedding these operationally
  • Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
  • Experience of leading, empowering and motivating a team
