As a part of Change Grow Live team you’ll help people get to where they want to be and make a difference in their lives.
Change, Grow, Live services and staff will provide wraparound support to rough sleepers and will work directly with emergency accommodation to support the staff with this group of people. We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic individuals and friendly faces to help support people in leading healthier lives.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to become an Assertive Drug & Alcohol Outreach Worker, engaging with rough sleepers with the aim of moving them into more settled lifestyles.
The post holder will work as part of the wider Hull ReNew service to work towards preventing homelessness and supporting effective treatment pathways, work with people in a variety of settings to ensure engagement with drug and alcohol treatment services.

Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary Range: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 dependent on experience (pro rata for part time hours)
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
You will focus on engaging with people who have a history of rough sleeping and substance misuse. You will have some experience of engaging with individuals with multiple and/or complex needs and demonstrate a determined approach to finding solutions. Some knowledge of one or more of the following is required:
Homelessness
Mental health
Criminal Justice System
Substance misuse

Experienced in outreach, community engagement, or working with vulnerable and excluded populations.
Skilled at building rapport and trust with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
Confident in liaising and negotiating with partner agencies and professionals.
Knowledgeable about substance misuse, mental health, and social exclusion.
Able to work autonomously and manage your time effectively.
Resilient, adaptable, and solution-focused in challenging situations.
Passionate about equality, inclusion, and reducing health inequalities.
