We are looking to recruit to a Quality Assurance and Performance Lead in our Substance Misuse Service in Tameside, to support our leadership team and wider service with improving quality. The successful candidate will support the Senior Leadership Team with service quality improvements, compliance and Care Quality Commission regulated activities. They will provide insights into service performance and provide creative reponses to improve performance.

Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week

Full time Salary Range: £34,214.21 - £39,891.91 Dependent on experience, pro rata for part time hours

 

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

 

  • Conduct regular audits of service delivery, highlighting best practice, implementing quality improvement plans, and evaluating their impact.
  • Support observed practice, staff coaching, and the design and delivery of training and workshops.
  • Embed the CGL learning culture by sharing lessons from incidents and working with staff to reduce recurrence.
  • Stay up to date with sector-wide quality improvements, emerging evidence-based practice, and relevant legislation and regulation.
  • Promote a culture of learning by coaching staff to give and receive constructive feedback to enhance service delivery and user experience.
  • Approach presenting issues systemically, considering factors such as mindset, behaviour, systems, structures, and long-term patterns.
  • Analyse service user feedback, complaints, and compliments to identify themes and drive service improvements.

About you:

 

  • Experience of working in Social Care and the Drug and Alcohol field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the recovery ethos.
  • Experience in project development and/or change management.
  • Experience of using quality management systems.
  • Experience of conducting root cause analysis for the investigation of serious
    incidents.
  • Excellent organisational skills including time/energy management and the ability
    to prioritise both dynamically and longer-term.
  • The ability to learn from mistakes and share learning with the wider team to
    improve service delivery.
  • Excellent communication both written and interpersonally to a variety of
    stakeholders including Service Users, staff and managers, with the ability to
    influence in order to improve presenting issues.
  • Experience of conducting audits and reviews to inform evaluation of the service
    and identify areas for development.
  • The ability to utilise different sources of information to make decisions, including
    inclusivity of the full team and stakeholders.
  • To promote the CGL learning culture, the ability to understand your own biases
    and when to accept that you are wrong, or that you need to change your mind
  • The ability to analyse data, to prioritise problem/improvement areas and to
    define next steps, taking the team with you.
  • An understanding of the complexity of how to improve, not just what to improve
  • Ability to evaluate impact of change
