We are seeking a dedicated Women’s Engagement & Recovery Coordinator to join our specialist drug and alcohol services team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with women in the criminal justice system who present with multiple and complex needs. Your role will focus on empowering women to make positive changes, reduce offending behaviour, and build pathways to recovery from substance misuse.

 

You will provide one-to-one support and group interventions, ensuring a trauma-informed, gender-responsive approach. Central to the role is effective partnership working with probation, health, housing, domestic abuse services, and other community agencies to create joined-up, person-centred support.

 

Where: Hull 

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Full Time Salary Range: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 (based on full time hours, pro rata for part time) 

 

 

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the role: 

 

  • Provide bespoke criminal justice interventions for identified service users, with the aim of engaging people in the most appropriate service for their needs, reducing reoffending and bringing about positive client outcomes.
  • Develop working protocols with Together Women's Project to operate a joint bespoke gender specific enhanced treatment offer to addressing substance misuse and offending.
  • To co-facilitate group interventions and deliver trauma informed care approaches via Adverse Childhood Experiences toolkit sessions.
  • To work in close partnership with Lighthouse project and Community Safety Partnerships to strengthen pathways for women involved with sex working and substance misuse to enable individuals to reduce harm, exit prostitution and support on-going recovery.
  • Expand measures to improve accessibility to service via mobile outreach services and drop-in facilities. Alongside the Harm Reduction Team, work to deliver harm reduction provisions in the community.

 

About you: 

 

  • Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience working within criminal justice or related field.
  • Experience of motivating individuals to recognise the benefits of accessing structured treatment and supporting them to do so.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in effective risk management planning working with females with specific and complex needs.
  • Experience of providing harm reduction advice and information that reduces the potential negative impact of drug use on individuals, their families/carer’s and communities and which improves physical and psychological health and well-being.
