We have an excellent opportunity for an energetic and passionate BRIC Team Leader to join our Hertfordshire Spectrum service. The BRIC Coordinator will be responsible for the development of partnerships with community networks and community groups to engage and establish links in order to deliver Recovery Activities in partnership with, and within the wider community.

Part Time Hours: 22.5 per week 

Full Time Salary Range : £35,220.59- £37,184.91 Per year (dependent on experience, pro rata for part time hours)

Allowance: £694.25 (Outer Fringe Weighting, paid pro rata)

Contract Type: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

 

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the role:

 

  • Service User Involvement, Peer Mentor & Volunteer Coordinator with the recruitment and training a team of Service User Reps, Recovery Graduates and Volunteers to support Service Users who are engaged in the treatment services
  • Establish, promote, and develop assertive linkage with community groups and organisations including the voluntary and faith sector
  • Act as the conduit to identify existing untapped funding streams to assist Service Users and Peer Mentors in the development of social enterprise activities and community interest related development
  • Develop robust partnership working arrangements with the treatment partnership, Criminal Justice agencies and providers of other specialist and non-specialist services to promote peer mentoring and volunteering roles within the service and wider mainstream settings
  • Assist with the delivery and development of group-based education interventions and workshops including Foundations of Recovery
  • Produce reports on the activity and effectiveness of the BRIC development across the service
  • Engage pro-actively with both line management and supervision and maintain a current knowledge of appropriate interventions
  • Work generically across the service managing staff and service delivery where necessary
  • To ensure that all safeguarding issues, including child protection and protection of vulnerable adults, are dealt with in accordance with Change Grow Live policies and procedures and local and national guidance and legislation
  • Line management of a team of Recovery Champions
  • To lead on the development and delivery of the Tempo time credits program
  • To recognise personal and professional boundaries and work within Change Grow Live’s clinical governance framework always
  • To implement and participate in staff rotas to ensure the service is appropriately staffed according to commissioning requirements

 

About you:

 

  • Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
  • Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
  • Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
  • Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
  • Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
  • Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
