Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Female Recovery Motivator to join our Criminal Justice team. Working as part of a team you will work with Women who are directly impacted by their own substance misuse as well as working with key partners to empower communities. 

 

This 12 month fixed-term contract, funded by our partners in the Walsall National Probation Service, is dedicated to support women in engaging with ATR and DRRs, whilst also improve their health and wellbeing.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Full Time Salary Range:  £25,077.00 pro rata for part time hours

Contract Type: Fixed term until 30th June 2026

 

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About The Role:

  • Assist Women in the Criminal Justice system setting up recovery plans with realistic goals that will build their recovery capital.
  • Work closely with the Probation Recovery coordinator, the National Probation Service and Changing Lives to set up the enhanced DRR and ATR offer for Women. 
  • Provide a welcoming and consistent environment in the Women's Hub located in the Walsall Probation service. 
  • Create links with local communities and work to increase an offer of meaningful activities that can support women in both their substance misuse treatment goals and probation order. 
  • Attend team meetings/supervision to share good practice and find solutions 
  • Utilise existing local resources and build local community partnerships to develop a portfolio of meaningful acitvities that support women in building their recovery capital.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, assisting the service across a range of activities, including assertive outreach, harm reduction and recovery.  

About you: 

  • A women with lived experience or other relevant experience of drug or/and alcohol misuse.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills along with IT skills 
  • Willing to undertake all associated training 
  • Be able to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs, whilst remaining empathetic and non-judgemental towards Service Users 
  • Confident in working alone as well as part of a team 
  • Can remain calm under pressure 
  • Able to travel as required
