As a Psychosocial Intervention (PSI) Worker you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them achieve their goals in recovery, by facilitating a variety of groups and activities, either in person or virtually. We have a varied program covering recovery from addiction, emotional skills, therapeutic and life skills amongst others.

 

Where: Southampton

Part Time Hours: 18.75 per week

Full Time Salary: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 dependent on experience (based on full time hours, pro rata for part time hours)

 

* Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

 

Responsibilities

About the role: 

  • Engage people who have substance misuse problems and provide them with advice, support and recovery focused structured clinical interventions to support their recovery and primary health care needs
  • Build therapeutic relationships and deliver a tailor-made package of care including 1 to 1 key work, pod, group work and clinical interventions
  • Carry out comprehensive service user assessments and develop individual recovery plans that clearly identify how achieving each goal will enable progression in addressing substance use, re/integrating into the community
  • Support the development of service-based recovery communities
  • Carry out risk assessments and risk management
  • Work with prescribing clinicians to support substitute prescribing regimes to improve social functioning
  • To be creative and innovative so that the post best meets the needs of the service user, promoting access into treatment, and continued engagement with under-represented communities

 

 About you: 

 

  • Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field
  • A commitment to multi-agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions to achieve good outcomes for the service user group, e.g. mental health services, criminal justice agencies, community groups etc
  • Training in ITEP/BTEI or other structured psychosocial interventions
  • The ability to communicate complex information to individuals and groups in a way that is easily understood
  • The ability to liaise and work in partnership with a wide range of professionals and agencies
