As Service Manager, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver and evolve our Gateshead drug and alcohol service, ensuring it is accessible, effective, and compassionate. You’ll work collaboratively with clinical staff, team leaders, subcontractors, and pharmacy partners to ensure service users receive the best possible support.
In this role, you will:
Act as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring safety, compliance, and care quality
Oversee governance, performance, and strategic direction
Build and maintain strong partnerships with commissioners, providers, and local stakeholders
Provide values-based leadership, empowering your team to deliver outstanding outcomes
Drive service improvement, innovation, and inclusion
Embed a culture of safeguarding, equity, and continuous learning
Manage significant budgets and subcontracted partnerships with care and accountability
Location: Gateshead
Full Time Salary Range:* £51,101.96 – £56,661.24 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full Tme 37.5 per week
*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours
We’re looking for someone who brings:
Significant experience in managing community or criminal justice drug & alcohol services
A deep understanding of recovery-focused care and performance-driven delivery
Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop others
Experience in managing complex contracts and subcontracted relationships
A track record of change management, innovation, and partnership building
Budget management experience (including oversight of contracts over £2 million)
A collaborative, compassionate, and solutions-focused mindset
