Are you a passionate and experienced clinical leader, driven by a commitment to harm reduction and community-focused care? Change Grow Live is seeking a dynamic Lead Nurse to head up our newly commissioned Renfrewshire Alcohol & Drug Outreach Service.
This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a frontline, community-based setting. You will lead a team delivering peripatetic outreach services to individuals affected by drug and alcohol use, supporting them through direct clinical intervention and seamless referral into existing treatment pathways.
As Lead Nurse, you will play a key role within the senior leadership team, responsible for developing and maintaining high standards of clinical care in a non-traditional setting. This is very much a “boots on the ground” role – our services are mobile, responsive, and rooted in the community. Delivery includes engagement through a dedicated mobile harm reduction unit operating in known hotspots across the region. You will directly line-manage Specialist Nurses and Outreach Support Workers, and act as the clinical lead in their day-to-day practice.

Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary: £48,906.23 Based on full time hours, pro rata for part time hours
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
About the role:
Clinical Practice - Ensure integrated care pathways are in place for individuals requiring support with addiction-related health needs and support and adhere to immunisation and BBV programmes, offering guidance to colleagues on infectious disease prevention and substance misuse care.
Service Engagement & Representation - Represent the service at key meetings, promoting the clinical offer alongside senior leadership.
Quality & Performance - Participate in clinical audits under the direction of the RLN & support the service in meeting performance and contractual targets.
Leadership & Workforce Development - Ensure staff are aware of and adhere to relevant clinical and social care legislation & maintain your own CPD, completing core and mandatory training, and support your team’s development.
Professional Standards - Uphold the NMC Code & support CPD and NMC revalidation through structured learning and career development opportunities.
Team Management - Oversee team rotas to ensure adequate clinical coverage; provide cover for outreach colleagues when needed.
Risk & Incident Oversight - Lead on incident and complaint management, ensuring health and safety compliance, and implement corrective actions based on performance reviews.
Clinical Governance & Accountability - Be professionally accountable for your own and your team’s clinical work & ensure the service model is evidence-based, efficient, and compliant with policy and national guidance, with a strong emphasis on harm reduction.
