Our Team Leaders here at Change Grow Live play an integral role in ensuring an effective service provision for our service users by creating a focused culture, engaging staff to provide an innovative and continually improving service and provide leadership, support, and development to a wide range of staff.   

 

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our Dependency and Recovery team at our Stafford service. As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work flexibly and creatively to establish what is needed to have the most positive impact for all who are referred to our service.

 

You will have  some experience of, or knowledge of how to manage team members as well as experience of working closely with partners such as Probation, Police and Courts. The programme will deliver harm reduction, brief interventions, group programmes and referral into structured treatment if required. Change, Grow, Live services and staff will provide wraparound support and will work directly with partner organisations to support the individual.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Full Time Salary Range: £35,220.59 - £37,184.90 (based on full time hours, pro rata for part time) 

Contract Type: 6 month internal secondment 

 

 

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours

Responsibilities

Here is what you will do;

  • Recruitment, supervision, and development of all staff roles.
  • Supporting D & R Senior Coordinators, Coordinators and Motivators to:
    Engage and support PoP from point of entry into the service on their Dependency & Recovery journey via our CGL Directory of Services.
  • Providing screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning and onward referral.
  • Reducing dependency & recovery related harm to service users and the wider community within the parameters of the National Probation Service referral.
  • Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.
  • Onward referral for ongoing support from partnership services.
  • Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self- determination

 

Here is what we are looking for:

 

  • Educated to relevant degree level or 3 years’ experience of Criminal Justice
  • Relevant knowledge and experience of leading within criminal justice, substance misuse (including alcohol) or social care services
  • Experience of leading, implementing, improving, and developing service provision that delivers high performance and quality standards
  • Experience of multi-agency working; establishing and maintaining partnerships; pathway and protocol development with other professions to achieve good outcomes for PoP
  • Experience of culture and change management, staff engagement, service improvement. 
  • Extensive knowledge of the issues facing offenders including (but not limited to) substance misuse, health and Personal Wellbeing.
  • Extensive knowledge of the rehabilitation process and the contributing factors to success and making long term sustained offending behaviour and social functioning.
  • Experience of working with groups or pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour.
  • Accomplished written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of personal IT competency
  • The ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely fashion and to work to deadlines for the submission of information
  • Ability to travel as required, including where public transport is not available.
