An exciting vacancy has arisen to join the dynamic and innovative Young People’s team at Stockton Recovery Service in the role of Children and Families Worker.
The primary focus of this role is to work with children and young people who are impacted by a family member’s substance misuse by delivering a programme of brief interventions via one to one sessions with the aim of building resilience and minimising the impact of parental substance misuse.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 (based on full time hours, pro rata for part time)
*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
The role includes developing and delivering group work packages, providing brief support and advice to parents, carers and partner agencies as well as delivering specialist training to professionals.
In order to undertake the role, the successful applicant will possess excellent engagement skills alongside the ability to work in partnership with other services. The candidate will have experience and knowledge of working with children and young people and an understanding of issues facing those affected by someone else’s drug and alcohol use.
This role will also require the successful candidate to have a good working knowledge and understanding of safeguarding concerns in relation to children and young people.
