We’re currently looking for a compassionate and organised Residential Housing Support Officer. Be a part of something life-changing. At Change Grow Live, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to change their direction, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential....

As a key member of the team, you’ll support residents in building independence, maintaining abstinence, and preparing to move on to longer-term housing. You’ll also help manage the practical elements of supported housing—from tenancy agreements and rent accounts to health and safety and maintenance.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in supported housing or recovery services, who is ready to bring their skills, empathy, and energy to a team that’s transforming lives every day.

Location: Folkestone and Canterbury

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Full time Salary Range: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 (Dependent on experience, pro rata for part time hours).

Responsibilities

About the role:

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working closely with residents to support their recovery and promote independent living in a safe, stable environment. You’ll provide person-centred keywork support while also managing tenancy agreements, rent accounts, and coordinating housing benefit applications.

You’ll also:

  • Carry out regular health & safety and property checks

  • Liaise with maintenance teams and external housing bodies

  • Support residents in accessing move-on housing and community resources

  • Work as part of a passionate team who are driven by compassion and hope

This role is based across our Folkestone and Canterbury projects.

About you:

You’ll be someone who is committed to empowering people on their recovery journeys and confident working in a structured housing environment. You’ll bring both compassion and practicality, with a strong understanding of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and health & safety compliance.

We’re especially looking for people who have:

  • Experience in supported accommodation, housing management, or social housing

  • Knowledge of tenancy agreements and rent arrears processes

  • A flexible approach and strong team ethic

  • Experience in substance misuse, social care, or recovery work (desirable)

  • The ability to travel between Folkestone and Canterbury as needed

What you’ll get from us:

  • 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays), increasing with service

  • Paid ‘Wellness Hour’ every week

  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme and Wellness Hub

  • Training and career development opportunities

  • Discounts for shopping, cinema, holidays and more

  • A friendly and supportive workplace where your voice matters

  • Refer a Friend scheme
