Where: Liverpool

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hrs per week

Full time Salary: £37,184.91 - £44,471.72 dependent on experience 

 

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary, allowances and holidays will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading ethical, person-centred, and evidence-informed social work practice across our Liverpool services.

  • Supporting and guiding a multi-disciplinary team in responding to complex cases involving substance use, safeguarding, and mental health.

  • Providing coaching, mentoring, reflective supervision, and bespoke training to enhance team confidence and capability.

  • Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead, offering professional accountability and expert decision-making.

  • Driving collaboration with local authorities, NHS partners, and community organisations to improve referral pathways and support.

  • Contributing to the development of new social work talent by supporting students and newly qualified professionals on placement.

 

 What we’re looking for:

  • A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England (or relevant regulatory body).

  • Strong experience working within adult and/or children’s social care systems.

  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding legislation and practice.

  • The ability to manage complexity, balance risk, and bring a trauma-informed approach to decision-making.

  • A collaborative, flexible, and approachable leader who thrives on building others up.

  • Experience of lone working, managing a busy caseload, and adapting to the needs of people in a challenging environment.

This role is based across our Liverpool sites – and we’re proud of the vibrant, inclusive, and resilient community we support. Flexibility is key: you’ll be expected to work across different locations and at times that best meet the needs of the people we support, which may include evenings and occasional weekends.
