We’re seeking a highly skilled professional who knows iTrent inside and out to help us optimise its use, provide expert support to colleagues across the organisation, and lead improvements that transform everyday working life.
In this role, you will work closely with the HRIS Manager to ensure our system runs seamlessly, meets evolving organisational needs, and grows alongside us.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 (Mon-Fri)
Location: Remote (working from home) - Hybrid working available. National travel as required for meetings.
Full Time Salary: £35,220 - £37,184 (Dependent on Experience)
Contract: 6 months Fixed Term Contract.

As our iTrent Specialist System Administrator, your expert knowledge of the iTrent system will be critical. You will be responsible not only for maintaining but continually enhancing this essential HR and payroll platform. You’ll be the go-to expert colleagues rely on for navigating iTrent’s complexities, ensuring our HR and payroll processes are smooth, accurate, and user-friendly.
Please note: Extensive hands-on experience with iTrent is essential for this role. If you do not have direct iTrent experience, we kindly ask you not to apply.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Managing system issues: Troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges across the organisation—from payroll details to workflow configurations—to ensure uninterrupted system performance.
System optimisation: Collaborating with the HRIS Manager to design, test, and implement iTrent improvements and configuration changes that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
User support & guidance: Providing ongoing support and training to HR teams, managers, and staff to help them confidently use iTrent.
Training and documentation: Developing clear, accessible user guides, training materials, and videos to empower users and ease adoption.
Supplier liaison: Acting as the primary contact with MidlandHR, managing support tickets, tracking progress, and escalating issues as needed.
Data protection & integrity: Ensuring compliance with GDPR and internal policies, safeguarding the privacy and security of sensitive workforce data.
Collaboration: Working closely with Payroll, HR Operations, and IT teams to align systems and data management practices.
Improvement projects: Driving initiatives to automate manual tasks and enhance reporting capabilities to improve organisational efficiency.
Deputising: Stepping in to support or represent the HR Systems & Insights Manager when required to maintain project momentum.

Have extensive hands-on experience with iTrent, including configuring access rights, workflows, batch processes, and absence schemes.
Understand HR operations well and how HR systems must support real-world workflows.

Handle sensitive data with care, discretion, and integrity.
Take pride in maintaining thorough, up-to-date documentation and resources.
Are highly organised, able to manage competing priorities effectively.
Have a keen eye for detail, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Work well independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Experience leading or supporting iTrent system upgrades or change projects.
Familiarity with HR reporting tools and data structures.
Experience designing and delivering training on digital platforms.
Confidence in liaising with external suppliers and managing service requests.
