We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly person to join our team as a Dependency & Recovery Motivator. Working alongside the Ministry of Justice and Probation Services you will be helping to support  adult males  in leading healthier lives and breaking the cycle of crime and substance use. Full Time Salary: £ 25,077.00

Hours: Flexible Hours available

 

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. 

Responsibilities

About the role:

 

  • Supporting referred adult males who are a Person on Probation (PoP) within the Probation region by facilitating a range of tailored sessions and activities
  • Helping PoP’s to link with local communities and work with other locally commissioned treatment services and specialist support organisation to provide wraparound support
  • Attend team meetings/group supervision with the aim of sharing good practices and finding solutions
  • Support the D&R Coordinators to update the NPS Customer Approved System each day after each PoP contact
  • Ensure that all aspects of confidentiality are adhered to and that consent to share information is a key element to building trusting therapeutic alliances
  • Adhering to all relevant safeguarding processes

 

About you:

 

  • Lived experience of the criminal justice system and/or drug or/and alcohol misuse
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with good IT skills
  • Be able to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs, whilst remaining empathetic and non-judgemental towards Service Users
  • Confident in working alone as well as part of a team
  • Can remain calm under pressure
  • Be willing to undertake a training programme to develop skills and abilities required to be a Dependency & Recovery Motivator
  • Able to travel as required, including where public transport is not available
