We are looking for a dedicated Probation Link Worker to join our Camden team! Your focus will be to deliver interventions to service users identified through the criminal justice system to reduce substance misuse related harm to each service user and the wider community and to reduce re-offending.

 

Where: Camden

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 dependent on experience (based on full time working hours, pro rata for part time)

Allowance: £4,072.06 Inner London Weighting pro rata (based on full time working hours, pro rata for part time)

Responsibilities

About the role:

 

  • Provide structured advice, interventions, and training for individuals referred by prisons, offender management teams, or courts within the National Probation Service (NPS).
  • Work closely with Offender Managers to raise awareness of available services.
  • Assess needs, develop support plans, and coordinate with probation and treatment services for smooth transitions.
  • Assist individuals in police custody due to substance misuse, encouraging them to seek help.
  • Facilitate information sharing and collaboration to support individuals transitioning back into the community.
  • Work with local communities and partners to provide overdose prevention information.
  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and referrals while sharing local support resources.
  • Delivering on-site clinics at Approved Premises, providing accessible support, assessments, and interventions for residents in a familiar setting.
