Where: Camden

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Full Time Salary Range : £31,529.41 - £33,708.57 per year (based on full time working hours, pro rata for part time)

Allowance: £4,072.06 Inner London Weighting (based on full time working hours, pro rata for part time)

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the service to deliver effective harm reduction services including: Naloxone & Nitazene test distribution, Needle Exchange services, dry blood spot testing.
  • Support the Camden leadership team to reduce drug and/or alcohol related deaths by ensuring all service users have access to the tools and knowledge they need to stay safe.
  • Lead on the services needle exchange and upskill new staff to deliver this effectively
  • Support partnerships lead in delivering harm reduction and NSO training to a range of partners including street outreach teams and hostel staff
  • Upskill all new staff by delivering in-house harm reduction training.
  • Work with Lead Nurse and Team Leaders to ensure all service users have access to Naloxone and Nitazene testing strips.
  • Carry a small caseload of service users who need enhanced support to reduce the risk of drug/alcohol related harm.
  • Support the development of harm reduction peer mentors at the service.

What we are looking for:

 

  • Experience in coaching / training/delivering effective presentations
  • Experience of working with our service user group as a practitioner
  • A solid understanding of the risks associated with drug and alcohol use including new synthetic opioids
  • Demonstrable experience delivering effective harm reduction interventions.
  • Experience delivering needle exchange services and a solid understanding of blood borne viruses and dry blood spot testing
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, complemented by proficient IT abilities.
  • Proactive, self-driven, excellent time management, and prioritisation skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
  • A keen interest in harm reduction interventions and a commitment to the safety of our service users.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fostering partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage change effectively while prioritising service user needs.
  • Commitment to information governance processes and necessary safeguards.
  • Passion for continuous learning and development, contributing to the growth of others.
