Rise Up Sefton are looking to recruit a Young Person's Resilence Worker. This role will play an integral role within our Sefton Young Persons Service to engage young people in a range of interventions, using a person-centred approach, and empowering young people to reduce risk, increase resilience and lead safe, happy, and healthy lives.    

 

You’ll have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. but most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives. No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key. 

 

Where: Bootle, Sefton

Hours: 37.5 per week (full time)

Salary: £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 dependent on experience, based on full time working hours, pro rata for part time. 

 

Responsibilities

About The Role:

  • Engaging young people in a pragmatic & meaningful way, which empowers them to access ongoing support
  • Working closely with our partners
  • Working holistically to assess need & develop a collaborative package of support for young people, including brief interventions, harm reduction, 1:1 and group work.
  • Carrying out comprehensive assessments and developing individual care plans that clearly identify how achieving each goal will enable progression in addressing substance use and related outcomes.
  • Working closely with your service’s Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure all issues and concerns are escalated and dealt with quickly and effectively.
  • Carrying out risk assessments and risk management plans.
  • Being responsive to the needs of young people, ensuring interventions are accessible (e.g. facilitating home visits, working with schools, colleges etc).

About You:

  • Experience of working with young people
  • Knowledge of issues facing young people today
  • Knowledge of safeguarding concerns in relation to children, young people and adults
  • Understanding of drug and alcohol issues
  • Experience of forging strong working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Knowledge & experience of working with young people who use substances
  • Experience of delivering training to different audiences in a variety of settings
