We have an exciting opportunity for a Connecting Communities Recovery Worker who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

Full Time Hours: 37.5h per week
Full Time Salary: £27,449.52 - £31,529.41 (Pro Rata for part time hours)
Allowance: Inner London Weighting (£4,072.06) per annum
Change Grow Live has an exciting opportunity to work as a Connecting Communities Recovery Worker. This role is part of a well-established Substance Misuse Service at HMP Wandsworth.
The successful applicant will support the delivery and development of through the gate provision to service users and continuity of care into the community upon release. The role has a clear focus on reducing reoffending and supporting with substance misuse.
You will be supporting service users by developing a personalized recovery plan prior to release and encourage self-esteem, well- being, self-responsibility and enhanced motivation to create opportunities for the future.
You will work with service users in prison and support them through to their transition into the community for up to 3 months post release. This includes supporting them to access appropriate community resources, coordinating onward referrals, escorting service users to their first appointments, and building on progress made in custody through to the community.
The successful candidate will be committed to taking a positive, holistic and empowering approach to service delivery. You will need to demonstrate a strong recovery focus and be confident in working with other multi-disciplinary agencies and professionals and build on connections that can support the service users with long term recovery and reintegration.

The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS check and obtain HMPPS security clearance
