Overview

At Change Grow Live we believe social media and digital platforms are a great way to connect with those who use our services and engage with new people and communities. We also use social media and digital platforms to offer advice and give information, whilst promoting the services and support we have on offer.

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Wirral Ways - Change Grow Live (CGL) Drug and Alcohol service as a Part Time Social Media and Digital Interface worker. As a Social Media and Digital Interface Worker within our Wirral Ways service, you will play an instrumental role in supporting the team to maintain our social media and digital presence.

 

This will include promoting local initiatives, providing harm reduction advice, and updating the community of any service changes and developments. You will also play a key role in the development and growth of our social media and digital presence.

 

Where: Wirrall

PartTime Hours: 15 per week

Full Time Salary:  £27,499.53 - £31,529.41 dependent on experience (pro rata for part time hours)

Contract Type: Fixed term until April 2025

Responsibilities

About the role:

  • To engage with people from the under-represented groups who have substance misuse problems and provide them with advice, screening, and interventions to address their substance misuse issues, and primary health care
  • Work towards understanding the barriers and gaps for different community groups and compile findings as part of a continuous needs’ assessment for this changing client population
  • Maintenance and development of online and digital presence through social media and other digital platforms
  • Develop and maintain strong links with key stakeholders in local services. Liaise with individuals, statutory and voluntary organisations as appropriate and represent Wirral Ways at relevant meetings, forums, and conferences in agreement with line manager
  • Uphold data protection legislation and only share client information as per Change Grow Live policy, local and formally agreed information sharing protocols and client confidentiality agreements
  • Offer organisational, administrative, and clerical services to the team designed to contribute towards its aims and objectives
  • Exploring additional platforms and being creative and innovative with how we deliver our content and showing the community what we have on offer.

About you:

To thrive in this role, we're looking for someone who:

 

  • An understanding of issues relating to underrepresented groups in drug services and their engagement with Services and a willingness to develop this knowledge further
  • A demonstrable working knowledge of Social Media, Digital communication, and an interest in developments within this field
  • Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work flexibly as part of a team
  • The ability to respond to appropriate requests for assistance, maintaining confidentiality whenever necessary
  • Knowledge of the issues facing substance misusers including appropriate medical interventions, social care, and health issues
  • Communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing
