Pathways to Recovery are looking for a Lived Experience Mentor to join our very busy Warrington service. The main purpose of the role is to act in a mentoring capacity to individuals who have come into service through the criminal justice system and in particular those working with Warrington Probation.

 

 

Where: Warrington

Hours: Full time, 37.5h per week 

Full Time Salary: £23,497.50 - £24,466.99 dependent on experience (based on full time hours, pro rata for part time) 

Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Cotnract.

Responsibilities

You will work  directly with inidivuals initiating, building, and establishing recovery capital to support them to move into long term sustained recovery.

This will be achieved by working with service users, supporting, and delivering one to one interventions including:

  • Supporting service users on leaving prison.
  • Supporting service users to required appointments.
  • Advocating and advising them.
  • Seeking out other support options for service users from the Warrington partnership.
  • Work closely with Warrington probation helping offenders maintain consistency.
  • Safeguard vulnerable adults and children as and when require

 

About you: 

  • Lived experience of drug or/and alcohol misuse 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with good IT skills 
  • Be able to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs, whilst remaining empathetic and non-judgemental toward Service Users 
  • Confident in working alone as well as part of a team 
  • Can remain calm under pressure 
  • Able to travel as required, including where public transport is not available
