We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.  

 

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key. 

 

Where: HMP Hindley, Bickershaw

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Full Time Salary Range: £27,449.52 - £31,529.41 (pro rata for part time hours) 

Contract Type: Permanent 

Responsibilities

About the role: 

 

  • To provide interventions both group and 1:1 for hard-to-reach service users within the secure estate
  • To be forward thinking and to work as part of a prison Team
  • Provide advice & interventions for harm reduction, blood borne viruses and overdose prevention advice and naloxone provision
  • To support group facilitation, training and supporting on partner agencies to understand substance misuse and recovery
  • Have all service users at the heart of our care and encourage service users to engage for those who may benefit from a substance misuse intervention
  • Provide a confidential, safe, and secure environment for service users

 

 

About you: 

 

  • Experience of working with vulnerable people
  • Experience of providing support to service users
  • Knowledge & experience of case management and individualized care planning and interventions 
  • Experience of working within the Criminal Justice/Prison System
  • Experience of working within substance misuse (including alcohol) services with a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services
  • Qualifications or working towards health and social care to level 3 at a minimum or equivalent
  • To hold a driving licence
