RISE (a consortium, led by Change Grow Live, and includes Central and North West London NHS Mental Health Trust, and service user-led organisation Build on Belief) is the integrated end-to-end treatment and recovery service which offers a wide range of pharmacological and psychosocial interventions to Ealing residents 18 years and over.
The Dual Diagnosis Team for RISE supports service users dealing with complex co-existing mental health and substance use conditions. A dedicated pathway of care will enable collaborative delivery of support by multi-agency teams in response to their needs in order to create & deliver combined treatment plans which are appropriate & effective in addressing their substance misuse issues.
A new post has arisen in this Team for a specialist Recovery / Engagement Worker role. As RISE continues to increase the provision of support, access, and assessment for individuals who due to their complex mental health condition(s) have historically been unable to engage and/or be retained in substance misuse treatment.
Where: Ealing
Hours: Part Time, 22.5 per week
Full Time Salary Range: £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 (Pro Rata for part time hours (dependent on experience)
Allowances: £4,072.06 Inner London Weighting, Pro Rata for part time hours.
Contract: 12 month Fixed Term Contract from start date

About the role:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support individuals with co-existing mental health and substance use challenges, who may also experience additional complexities such as neurodevelopmental conditions, learning disabilities, physical health issues, lack of community or family support, or unsuitable living conditions. You will work to overcome barriers to engagement, helping individuals connect with meaningful support, and addressing safeguarding and exploitation concerns.
Working as an integral part of a compassionate, multi-disciplinary team that includes Recovery Practitioners, Doctors, Nurses, Psychiatrists, and Psychologists, you will support each individual’s journey to recovery from their initial contact with RISE through to ongoing treatment.
Your role will include:
You will work flexibly across both community and inpatient settings, using an assertive outreach approach to meet people where they are. This includes visiting individuals in locations such as Acute Psychiatric Wards, Substance Misuse Hubs, Community Mental Health Services, GP Surgeries, and Supported Accommodation.
The post holder will need to work flexibly across the local community and inpatient settinings with hours to suit service need.
The team is peripatetic rather than hub based with the post holder expected to conduct assessments & reviews using assertive in-reach in a variety of venues – including Acute Psychiatric Wards, Substance Misuse Hubs, Community Mental Health Services, GP Surgeries, and Supported Accommodation.
