We are seeking a Group Recovery Coordinator 

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and skilled Recovery Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals, facilitating group programs that help them build skills and interests to support their long-term recovery from drugs and alcohol.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Full Time Salary: £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 (pro rata for part time hours)

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals from their initial entry into the service through their treatment and recovery journey.
  • Experienced at delivering groups.
  • Provide screening, assessment, and recovery planning, ensuring onward referrals are made when needed.
  • Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
  • Promote involvement of families, carers, and the community in the recovery process.
  • Advocate for individuals to access partnership services.
  • Support social (re)integration, enabling individuals to lead meaningful and purposeful lives by promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
  • Design and deliver tailored workshops and group sessions based on the needs of individuals, covering topics such as anger management, sleep disorders, and relationships.
  • Collaborate with co-facilitators for debriefing and evaluations, reviewing progress, and addressing concerns.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong understanding of substance misuse and relevant experience in a similar field.
  • Experienced at deliver quality one to one sessions
  • Is experienced in facilitating group work and managing group dynamics, including conflict or challenging behaviours.
  • Is an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with good IT skills.
  • Is proactive, able to work independently, and possesses excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Has a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
  • Is a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders.
  • Is eager to learn and grow professionally, contributing to the development of others as well.
