We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Volunteering Team Lead to be part of our Swindon service . A key part of this role is recruiting and supporting volunteer and student counsellors as part of our community substance misuse provision.

 

Where: Swindon

Part Time Hours: 22.5 hours per week.

Full Time Salary: £34,700.09 - £36,635.38 (Pro Rata for part time hours)

Responsibilities

A key part of the vision for the service is the provision of highly skilled and well trained peer mentors and volunteers to support service users to achieve recovery and reintegration services in the community. Peer mentors and volunteers form part of the multi-disciplinary team and are involved in providing peer support.

The post-holder will be responsible for the recruitment, training and development of peer mentors and volunteers within the service including Volunteer Counsellors & student placements. 

 

About you:

  • Experience and knowledge of working with individuals facing substance misuse, offending and social care issues
  • Experience of recruitment, organising & delivering training and line management
  • A clear understanding of the need for, and ability to deliver, quality services.
  • Knowledge of substance misuse treatment, social care and criminal justice system.
  • Understanding of Trauma in the Substance Misuse Field
  • Experience of liaising and working with professionals from a variety of services
