An exciting opportunity has emerged within our Camden service for a Criminal Justice Team Leader to join our vibrant team, committed to supporting individuals with drug and/or alcohol issues involved in the criminal justice system.

 

Our Camden team comprises a diverse group of knowledgeable Managers, caring nurses, prescribers, passionate recovery workers, and compassionate peer mentors.

 

Position: Team Leader

Location: Camden

Hours Full Time: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £34,700.09 - £36,635.38 Based on Full time, Dependent on experience, paid Pro Rata for part time

Allowance: £4072.06 Inner London Weighting Pro Rata

Contract Type: Fixed-term until 31/03/2025, with a strong possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

  • As a Team Leader, you will provide guidance, support, and direction to a team of dedicated recovery workers.
  • Your role involves operational line management of your team, including supervision, appraisal, performance, and sickness management.
  • Empowering your staff to instill hope, empowerment, choices, control, and opportunities in service users, enabling them to realise their full potential, is a crucial aspect of your role.
  • You'll collaborate with various Criminal Justice Agencies, such as police, probation, court staff, and liaison and diversion partners, to develop pathways and mutual ways of working for optimal outcomes.
  • Building strong relationships with local prisons to ensure seamless transitions for service users upon release is another key component of your role.

 

To excel in this role:

  • We seek an individual with substantial experience in the substance misuse or criminal justice sector.
  • You should possess knowledge and experience in developing and leading health and social care services, delivering services that demonstrate high performance and quality standards.
  • Significant experience in leading teams working with families under social care intervention is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with current legislation surrounding children, young people, and safeguarding practice is essential.
  • You should have the ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in common MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook).
