Are you experienced, skilled, and passionate about making a meaningful difference? We're seeking a dedicated Recovery Coordinator to engage and assess our service users, ensuring they receive timely, personalised interventions that cater to their unique needs. With this role you’ll be working as part of an Outreach team, the team supports people with their drug and/or alcohol issues who have disengaged it treatment.

Our ethos is centred around the principles of harm reduction, providing non-judgmental, fact-based information and advice surrounding drug and alcohol use and the associated risks.

 

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 dependent on experience (based on full time hours, pro rata if part time)

 

Responsibilities

 About the Role:

  • Hold a caseload and deliver specific interventions designed to reduce the harm caused by use of substances including opiates, non-opiates and Alcohol to clients that have disengaged in service and at risk of being discharged from treatment.
  • Follow CGL prescription policies, procedures and governance when facilitating service users access to appropriate OST or Alcohol detox were appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other organisations and the community to enhance the recovery resources available to service users by referring them to mutual aid groups and other networks.
  • Advocate for the involvement of family members, service users, and the community.
  • Serve as a voice for service users in accessing partnership services.
  • Work closely with service users to facilitate their social (re)integration, enabling them to lead fulfilling and purpose-driven lives. This includes promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
  • Working collaboratively with our partner agencies to reach the best outcomes for our clients, including GP's and pharmacists.

 What we are looking for:

  • Possess knowledge and experience in delivering interventions for service users affected by substances and mainly opiate use.
  • Excel in both verbal and written communication, with proficient IT skills.
  • Demonstrate proactive qualities, working independently with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Hold a strong understanding of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
  • Thrive as a supportive team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with a diverse range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Exhibit the ability to navigate change effectively, always prioritising the needs of service users.
  • Recognise the significance of information governance processes and commit to adhering to all necessary safeguards.
  • Pursue continuous learning opportunities to enhance your professional knowledge and skills, while also contributing to the growth and development of your colleagues.
