Exciting opportunity - Recovery Coordinator (Telehealth)

 

This role will focus on predominately digital interventions with service users over either telephone or teams to support people to address their drug and/or alcohol use. There will be the option to work remotely from home however, please be aware you may need to attend one of the Manchester services.

 

Where: Manchester 

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 dependant on experience

Responsibilities

About the role: 

 

  • Managing a dedicated telephone support line. 
  • Contacting an individual who has been referred within 3 working days.
  • Engaging and maintaining engagement with service users.
  • Assessment of individual risk and need including the use of AUDIT and SADQ tools.
  • Delivering a range of appropriate interventions such as:
    • Identification and Brief Advice 2
    • Extended Brief Interventions
    • Harm reduction Interventions and support into more structured treatment for those with identified high risk or alcohol dependence.
    • Evidence based tools such as drink diaries
  • Delivering lapse and relapse prevention support. 

 

About you: 

 

  • Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field 
  • Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour. 
  • Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills 
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills 
  • Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice 
  • Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders 
  • Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users 
  • Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards 
  • Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
