We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our HMP Wandsworth Service. The new post holder will hold responsibility for overseeing the efficient collection and analysis of data for all services within the treatment system.

 

There will be particular focus on national reporting frameworks and being familiar with local data collection, analysis and reporting in other formats as and when required. This role will have a quality assurance and developmental role, which will include devising and undertaking audits of service delivery. In addition to staff coaching regarding the use of performance outcomes within treatment to measure progress and devising and delivering training and workshop sessions to promote best practice

Responsibilities

About the role:

  • Ensure data processes and systems are efficient, effective and meet the needs of all stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain prediction and tracking systems for performance
  • Develop and provide financial information in relation to contract requirements
  • Recognise and understand key performance indicators and prepare regular data quality and performance reports to respective teams and stakeholders
  • Conduct data analysis to discover useful insight and valuable information and provide creative suggestions to make changes in service delivery where needed
  • Undertake data analysis to ensure activity, performance and all other reporting needs are met
  • Interpret and make use of internal and external reports and ensure activity is appropriately reflected
  • Communicate findings effectively and appropriate to the audience
  • Provide in-house case management system training
  • Training staff to gain an understanding of data within the project and its effect on their role and its related outcomes
  • Be an expert and port of call on all CRiiS NDTMS and DIRDET data relating matters, assisting operational workers on NDTMS monitoring, local spreadsheets, case management systems, etc
  • Manage the service NDTMS submissions via local and central databases
  • To attend relevant meetings and forums as requested
  • Carry out any ad-hoc data requests from Management team, Commissioners, Regional NDTMS team and Central Data Management Team

 

About you:

 

  • Knowledge of NDTMS processes. - Highly IT literate with particular expertise in the use of Excel and Word
  • Ability to analyse complex datasets
  • Experience of report writing
  • Ability to manage performance monitoring frameworks
  • Experience of using client case management systems/databases
  • Experience of using national reporting systems, such as DAMs and DIRDET
  • An excellent understanding of both the technical and human dimensions of data collection processes
  • A willingness to work flexibly to ensure deadlines are met
  • An ability and willingness to work independently and as part of a team
