We have an exciting opportunity for a Young Persons Resilience Worker who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.  

 

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key. 

 

Where: Waltham Forest

Allowances: £2,163.27 Outer London Weighting

Hours: 37.5hrs per week

Salary: £27,449 - £31,529.41 dependent on experience\

Responsibilities

About the role:

 

  • To engage young people aged from 11 years to 25 years in a range of interventions, utilising a young person-centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and lead a safe, happy and healthy lives.
  • The post holder will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team at the service named above to deliver high quality provision by:
  • Strengthening coordination of multiple and simultaneous transitions to adult support (e.g. health, criminal justice, social care, welfare and education).
  • Providing tailored, age-appropriate care & treatment for 11–25-year-olds within the YPSMS
  • Providing screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, integrated care planning, post treatment
  • Identifying and responding effectively to potential safeguarding
  • Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider
  • Promoting carer, service user and community
  • Providing advocacy for access to partnership
  • Working with service users to support positive, holistic outcomes in relation to their health and wellbeing, enabling them to lead safe, healthy, and purposeful lives: reducing risk and increasing resilience.

About you:

 

  • Knowledge and experience of providing interventions for service users affected by Substance use.
  • Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills.
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills.
  • Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice.
  • Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users.
  • Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards.
  • Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others.
